Mining Operation’s Equipment Manufacturer Head Office

A rectangular, open plan shell with a north facing floor to ceiling glazed façade provided the blank canvass for this office. Client requirements were carefully considered, dividing the interior into critical areas, namely a meeting space with client waiting area, café stop, open plan workstations as well as director’s office and storage facilities.

Workflow, communication and workforce’s movement within the office were all optimised through careful planning, understanding the business dynamic and end user requirements. Environmental impact was another aspect taken into consideration, attended to by including the use of low energy task and accent lighting throughout and restoring existing furniture to mention but a few.

The overall scheme hints towards a modernist design approach, with a subtle colour palette, clean lines and textured finishes to add interest in key areas. The completed office space is aesthetically sustainable, a design which will maintain its relevance, even as new trends in office design evolve.
